VI/Mulawarman Military Commander Major General Rudy Rachmat Nugraha emphasized the importance of synergy between the TNI and the private sector in supporting food security. This program is expected to create opportunities for local communities to become more economically independent and sustainably improve their well-being.
To expand its benefits, the program also partnered with students from El-Fhaluy Al Faizin Loa Kulu Vocational School, SMKN 3 Tenggarong, and a student group from Kutai Kartanegara University. These educational institutions participated in hands-on learning activities on a 3.7-hectare plot of land, which included agricultural and livestock practices, to equip students with skills they can apply to the workplace and independent businesses.

Meanwhile, MHU's Head of Mining Engineering, Aris Subagyo, stated that productive use of post-mining land not only supports food security but also serves as a platform for the development of science.
"We welcome the VI/Mulawarman Military Commander's initiative to support food security in this region. Synergy between the MHU, educational institutions, and the government, including the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), is crucial in creating sustainable benefits for the community. We hope this collaboration can open up new economic opportunities for the surrounding community," he said.
This effort also supports the achievement of three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely pillar 2 Zero Hunger, pillar 4 Quality Education and pillar 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth.
This collaboration is expected to become a model for post-mining land use in Indonesia that not only improves ecosystems but also enhances community well-being through a circular economy and sustainability approach.
